Product Description
This is an assessment intended for Second Grade, Quarter 2 however, depending on your students ability levels you may want to use it for quarter 1.
On this assessment, students are presented with a series of mixed coins. They are to add the coins and show their thinking below each coin as they add.

Students are also asked to solve 4 word problems where they are asked to draw and add mixed coins. For example, Danny's dad gave him 3 quarters, 2 nickels, 3 dimes, and 4 pennies. Draw his money and tell how much money he has in all. Students are also expected to use the correct symbol ($ or ¢)

The test is 2 pages long and an additional page is added with a suggested rubric.

I hope you find this assessment as useful as I do! I also have a quarter 1 assessment and quarter 3 assessment available in my store as well as an end of the year assessment that covers every math standard :)
