In this unit you will find a whole pack of Valentine writing templates and a simple craft to teach your kiddos about persuasive writing as required by CCSS. I created this unit after brainstorming with my co teacher, Misty, about what might be fun to do right before Valentine’s Day with our inclusion class. We wanted to teach about love, not the cupid kind but love you might have for your family, pets, or friends and the best way to show it. Students will choose someone or something they love and decide the best way to show love to that person, pet, or thing. Students will create writing with a beginning, middle and end, support their opinion with at least three details, revise, edit, and use bigger better words throughout the pack.
We are very excited about this unit and hope you love it as much as we do! It will take your students through each step of the writing process and finish with a cute publishing craft.
Just a note, some of the pages have a regular version and a lower level version for intervention/differentiation.
