The Pythagorean Theorem can be used to find the shortest distance between two points. In this game, one partner will choose a point on a graph and use the Pythagorean Theorem to give the distance from the unknown point to a known point. The other partner will have to use the Pythagorean Theorem (possibly multiple times) to try and guess the unknown point.
The activity comes with a worksheet that partners can use to guess each other's coordinate points, and a similar version of the worksheet with a guide that a teacher can use to show a whole class how to play.
This game is kind of like a combination between "Battleship" and "Who Am I?" as it requires some guess and check as well as some process of elimination.
