This is an excellent tool for reading teachers, special education teachers, reading interventionists, RTI specialists, etc.
The CCVC Assessment gives the evaluator the ability to quantify two different skill sets: reading CCVC words by vowel, and reading beginning blends by consonant digraph.
Please Note: While this assessment is designed to be an in-depth tool for assessing the student's ability to read CCVC words, the beginning blends portion is more of a general screener and should not be used as the only tool for formal evaluation.
This assessment does not test r-controlled vowel words or vowel digraphs.
There are two assessment sets; however, Set Two has some of the same words as Set One due to the limited number of CCVC words available for a given vowel.
