After having taught the ways in which the Federal Reserve Banking System functions, these stations will serve to assist students in their ability to comprehend the various ways in which the Federal Reserve banking system functions. These stations align well with Virginia's SOL standards in Civics and Economics.
The stations will have students analyze:
> Money unfit for circulation and what the Federal Reserve does with it.
> How they maintain the value of our money by limiting the amount created annually.
> How counterfeit Federal Reserve Notes can harm inflation rates.
This is an activity that should only be utilized once the students have been taught the concept of the Federal Reserve and its various functions.
