This is a modified CER used as a teaching model. It explains what a hypothesis, evidence, claim, and reasoning are, within a simple lab activity on density. It also has a learning further section at the end about weather fronts, and teacher notes.
Students measure the mass, volume, and density of different water samples which are also color coded. They then try to layer the different water samples within a beaker or graduated cylinder based on their density.
Some students have to repeat the layering part more than once before they reason out the best method.
