Use the math question as part of your routine math journals, or as a formative assessment for your students. I also use a rubric that I introduce to students along with their math journal expectations. This will encourage students to show as much of their mathematical thinking with pictures, numbers, and words. Take time to share student strategies as a class afterwards. You could also use these as center activities, sharing strategies later to save time!
The templates can be printed onto Avery shipping labels 5163 or any shipping label with 10 per page. Or, you can simply print and cut apart for students.
