This CHAMPS tool is designed for the ELA Classroom.
Included are 6 main poster displays (C, H, A, M, P, and S) along with cards to be displayed for each. They are color coordinated and include ELA-themed clip art for a unified look.
Print, cut, and laminate pieces to ensure they last for years!
After cutting lamination, whole punch 1-2 wholes in each piece to insert rings or hook.
Place all cards on a ring or hook for easy flipping during instruction/transitions.
For each main poster (C-H-A-M-P-S), attach either a command hook back or push pin for hanging rings/hooks.
Place CHAMPS board in a prominent/highly visible spot in the classroom.
When introducing CHAMPS to students, define what each component looks like and sounds like so that students are aware of your expectations.
Role play examples and non-examples, having students name the specific behaviors you expect…repeat, review as needed!
This download is meant to be displayed for whole group purposes; but I have also included a list of possible fixed CHAMPS poster ideas that you may wish to display around the classroom. There is a blank CHAMPS poster template for you to create these and post around the room.
