This is a phonemic awareness activity for dyslexic, learning disables, and struggling readers. Phonemic and phonological awareness activities are a prerequisite as research shows for reading.
Instructions: The teacher says the word - the student repeats tvhe word - the teacher changes a sound to another sound - the student tells the teacher the word.
Example: Say "rain" - change the (a) to (u) - new word " run".
Say "show" - change the (sh) to (sn) - new word "snow"
