Bring Chinese New Year into your math class! These are designed for middle school Life Skills, particularly students taking the WA-AIM. However, they would also be useful for a resource, intervention, or gen ed math class needing additional practice in identifying ratios. These task cards contain pictures of items relevant to Chinese New Year- fire crackers, dragons, lions, red envelopes, lanterns, dumplings, zodiac animals, and more. Student count the items on the card, then select the correct ratio using a clothespin, paper clip, circle with dry erase, etc. You can even print them in grey scale and use them as worksheets. As task cards, they are great work box items, math centers, entry/exit tickets, quick review, etc. To use, print on card stock, cut into 4 cards per page. Laminate and use! This set includes 9 pages/36 cards.
