The CHNOPS: Elements of Life Fold-out Foldable can either be used as a way to introduce biomolecules or review biomolecules, it also covers how these elements cycle through the ecosystem and would be a great addition to an environmental science unit or class.
The foldable begins with an overview of atoms, chemical bonding and the definitions of organic versus inorganic. The centers of the foldables have dedicated spaces for notes on the six elements of life: carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, and sulfur. Cycles for carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, phosphorous, and sulfur are included.
Each element has a short answer question for students to complete. They can be answered on a separate sheet of paper or in the students interactive notebooks.
A detailed teacher's key which follows the same format as the student notes are included with assembly instructions.
