CHOICE BOARD Qui-qui-ri-quí Tablero de Opciones para comenzar el día ENERO en español
This resource is made up of different activities that I used in my classroom. From choice boards I borrowed the choice and differentiation parts. From morning work I used start the day and the review, practice, and independent components. I chose the Task Cards concept instead of writing all the tasks on the grid itself. I used numbers from 1-16 to correspond to the numbers on the cards. This way, teachers can reuse the task cards again and again. The puzzle serves as a motivational tool, but with a twist! As students finish a task, they cut, color and paste the puzzle piece on its corresponding number on the grid. Basically, I use the puzzle as an accountability tool. When the students are finished with all the task cards, their puzzle SHOULD BE finished, and they have the entire month to complete it! I did include two different puzzle piece layouts, one with consecutive 1-16 pieces that look like the completed picture, and one with the pieces scrambled to accommodate the fast finishers, perhaps. I did not want to narrow the work to one target area, so I included Language Arts, as well as Math activities. Also, tfor organizational puposes, this work can easily be done in journals. What better way to wake up the students’ brains and bodies than the Qui-qui-ri-quí> of this cute little rooster, right?
