CHRISTMAS MATH – Numbers 1-10: Puzzles, Count the Room, Anchor Charts, Playdough Mats, Sequencing and Matching {BUNDLE}

This bundle includes these 7 resources:
[Please click on the links for a more detailed description of each item. Please note that some of these items are included in other bundled sets as well; please review them to be sure that you have not purchased them already.]

1. CHRISTMAS Math - Count the Room – Ten Frames and Numbers 1 - 10 This set includes Christmas tree number cards 1-10 and the <, >, and = signs.

Count the Room is an interactive math activity in which children move around the room looking for the picture cards and then counting the dots in the corresponding ten frames. Students record the numbers on their recording sheet.

To differentiate, 2 additional recording sheets are included: after the children record their answers, they count on, or add “one more” to the number, OR they add “ten more” to the number.

This activity reinforces counting and cardinality skills, including subitizing skills, and numeral writing. Simply print the color cards, mount them on construction paper and laminate for durability if desired, and this activity is ready to go!

Included in this set:
Count the Room Christmas picture cards with ten frames depicting the numbers 1-10.
3 recording sheets: 1. “Count the Room” 2.“Count the Room and Count On”-- add one more to the number 3.“Count the Room and Add 10”-- add ten more to the number.
Answer keys for easy correcting and/or for students to self-check their work.
Christmas tree number cards 1-10 and the <, >, and = signs. (Blank Christmas tree cards are included as well.)

2. CHRISTMAS Math - Puzzles 1-10 – Ten Frames and Base 10 Blocks {HOLIDAY GIFTS}

Included in this set are number puzzles 1 – 10. Children match the numeral/number word, base 10 blocks, and ten frames. The puzzles help to strengthen counting and cardinality skills, in particular by reinforcing subitizing skills.

There are two versions for 10: one with loose ones and another with a ten rod, or “long”—stacked ones. Even numbers are red; odd numbers are green.

Simply print on cardstock or heavy paper, laminate for durability if desired, and cut apart the puzzles. The puzzles may be used at a math center, during small group time, or as an independent activity.

3. CHRISTMAS Math – Number Sequencing and Matching 1-20 {HOLIDAY GIFTS}

[**Please note that this resource is also included in the CHRISTMAS MATH – Numbers 11 -20: Puzzles, Count the Room, Anchor Charts, Playdough Mats, Sequencing and Matching BUNDLE. If you have already purchased this money-saving bundle with 6 Christmas math activities, you already own this resource!]

This resource consists of the following activities:

Students color and cut out the gift numbers, then glue them in the grid in the correct order. This is fun winter and holiday activity and is helpful as an assessment tool to ensure that students know their numbers and number order.

There are 4 sets that include the following number sequences:
→ 1-10
→ 5-14
→ 8-17
→ 11-20

2. Holiday Gifts Number and Ten Frame Matching:

Students cut out the gift number cards and match them to the correct ten frame. The first page is the student worksheet, and the second page has the gift numbers (there are 2 sets on this page, enough for 2 students).

There are two sets for this activity with the following number sequences:
→ 1-10
→ 11-20

Each activity includes a blackline version to use as a worksheet and a color version that may be printed onto cardstock or heavy paper and used at a math center. I like to laminate such activities for durability.

Answer keys for easy correcting and to enable students to self-check their work are included as well.

4. CHRISTMAS Math Number Puzzles 1 – 10 - Ten Frames and Dice {REINDEER}

Included in this set are number puzzles 1 – 10. Children match the numeral/number word, dice, and ten frames. The puzzles help to strengthen counting and cardinality skills, in particular by reinforcing subitizing skills. Even numbers are red; odd numbers are blue. The reindeer theme makes the puzzles ideal for winter and Christmas math centers!

Color puzzles as well as blackline masters are included, should you wish to have your children color, cut, and have their own puzzles to keep.

The puzzles may be used at a math center, during small group time, or as an independent activity.

Number Posters 0 – 10 ~ Each poster shows different ways to represent the number:
→ Numeral
→ Number word
→ Ten frame
→ Number line
→ Base 10 blocks
→ Tally marks
→ Objects (ornaments)

The posters measure 8.5” x 11”— you have the option to print 2 or 4 to a page in order to print smaller posters. (Directions are included.) Odd numbers have a green frame and ornaments; even numbers have a red frame and ornaments.

6. CHRISTMAS TREE Playdough Number Mats 1-10 ~ Kindergarten Common Core

Christmas Tree Number Mats, 1 - 10
Each number mat includes a Christmas tree, ten frame, the numeral and number word. There are both colored number / playdough mats and black/white pages in this packet.

For differentiation, each set, colored and black/white mats, includes blank ten frames as well as ten frames with counters. This is beneficial for students who need additional guidance with counting.

Students may use either playdough or objects such as counters, pom poms or cubes to show the number on the mat: they decorate the tree with counters or playdough “ornaments” and fill in the ten frame with the correct number of counters or playdough balls.

Even numbers are red/green and odd numbers are yellow/purple.

There are two sets in this packet:
★Colored mats: Print on cardstock or mount onto construction paper and laminate. They are perfect to use at a math center, small group or independent work station.

★Black and white pages: Copy and have students either use counters or color in the page to match the number. OR, copy onto colored construction paper, laminate, and use at a center—this will save on colored ink.
