I'd like to share this no-prep Christmas word building activity with you. Children simply cut out the words at the bottom of the page (SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN!), cut apart the letters, and arrange them to make as many different words as they can. The students will then record the words on the lines provided.
Examples of the words might be:
sing, sting, cling, tan, tow, two, won, ant, stow, ton, not, man, tin, win, mist, must, wig, mint, it, in, as, lost, last, want, mast, moist, twin, twist, twig, cost, cast, toot, soot, loot, scoot, tools, stool, lint, list
This activity is great for partner work, literacy centers, fast finishers, small groups, independent work, sub tubs, and more!
I hope your class enjoys it!
Thank you for looking!
