Have your students investigate the natural resources in the 13 colonies in this fun activity!
There are ten “crimes” in which your students are to solve by looking at the clues left behind and determine where the criminals are from. The evidence left behind at each crime scene is a natural resource and will lead your students to classify them as either from the New England, Middle or Southern regions.
In the packet you will find two different student handouts where they can record their answers (one has the directions, the other does not), 10 printable playing cards with the crimes, an answer key, and a worksheet with all ten crimes listed if you would rather not print the individual cards. You also have the option to print the cards double sides with the C.I.A. logo!
I hope your students enjoy this lesson as much as mine do!
