CKLA Listening and Learning- TWO COLUMN NOTES
Domain 9 Civil War
These are two column notes that follow up each lesson very effectively. I love them and hope all of you do as well. They pull everything that the students will be tested on. I print off the packet and we fill out each page after our read aloud. If you teach CKLA you know that some of the material is pretty Dense and vocabulary is high. These try and wrap it all together to great discussion after the read aloud.
If you teach Step Up to Writing these will fit right in. Even if you don't they are pretty simple to follow.
The T or Topic is the name of each lesson. (We color code this Green)
On the left you have your "Star ideas" (We color code them Yellow)
The right side of the chart explains those star ideas. (We color code these red)
They have blanks missing to discuss with the kids and fill the correct answers in. I made these in Google Slides, and downloaded them as a Powerpoint. (so if formatting is off for you please let me know and I can fix it. )
The answers are in the speaker notes at the bottom of the powerpoint
If there is a vocab word that appears on the test, it will be in the lesson. At the bottom of the two column notes there is a place for a sentence. We use the vocab word to make the sentence, but it could be used however you want.
The students really enjoy color coding them also.
Take a chance, try them out, you won't regret it!
