* Recipe Included for learners to read as they complete their assessments
Ideal for the multi-level LINC or ESL classroom, these assessments are on the topic of reading a recipe and allow the multi-level classroom to work on the same assessment topic while each learner receives an assessment that meets the Canadian Language Benchmark criteria for their CLB writing level.
Assessments for CLB1, CLB2, CLB3 and CLB4 on reading a recipe can also be purchased separately from this TPT store if your class is not multi-level.
These assessments come ready to print and distribute to your learners for a day of assessment.
These assessments will assess the vocabulary knowledge and reading abilities of learners based on food vocabulary that appears on recipes. Please ensure that you have done a lesson on reading a recipe and learners have had prior practice reading recipes in class. (Examples of vocabulary terms and words to have covered prior to assessment: cup/cups, uncooked, skinless chicken breasts, bite-size pieces, diced tomatoes, drained, cubed, spinach leaves, basil leaves, pasta sauce and shredded cheese) before assessing on this topic.
As with any assessment, please double check that the reading assessment given to a learner specifically matches the reading assessment level that learner is working towards. For example, if a learner is at a CLB2 level, this learner will receive the CLB 3 reading assessment, as this is the level the learner is working towards earning.
Enjoy your day of assessing on this reading topic.
