To use with Critical Content Scale for Clean Desks and Desk Maps. Have students first draw a picture or 'snapshot' of what the inside of their desk looks like. Then take out pictures of what their desk actually looks like (take pictures and print before lesson). Discuss if it is the same or not and where it would fall on the Critical Content Scale. Discuss how Desk Maps could help them out. Introduce a desk fairy that randomly leaves a present (i.e. edible treat, ipad time, free time, extra outside time, etc.) when they find their desk clean! Kids LOVE this!!!
