This package includes 25 BOARD GAMES covering the following phonological elements:
--- shun words (words that end in 'shun') + extension
--- al-all-aw-ar-augh-ough-au clusters that say 'or' + extension
--- hard c, silent h
--- ie says long e
--- the three sounds of ea + extension
--- air words
--- are words + extension
--- the two sounds of eigh
--- tricky ough
--- three syllable words (4 lists)
+ BLANK board game with DIRECTIONS
This package has basic boards (such as in the PREVIEW) as well as extension. For instance, the 'shun' family has an additional 4 boards for extension work. This allows for differentiation and you can cater for a wide range of ability within this Phase. You can also combine phases as all the games are the same, only the words are different. Once students know how to play the game, they can progress through the levels, consolidating word families as they go.
This package includes a BLANK board game for flexibility.
I laminate my blank boards and use a semi-permanent pen. This is ideal for RTI as I can target the particular skill that a student needs. I usually send these home for FAMILY FUN TIME (you can call it homework if you like).
I use these games for RTI, beginning and ending a session. I mix up the games, but I find my older students (Grades 4-6) prefer this game. Younger ones seem to prefer RACE DAY which is another board game in my store. Both provide the fun element for practice.

This resource compiles over 25 years of teaching into 100+ pages to help you organise RTI for those students who need it. It is ideal for homeschooling and tutoring as you can target skill deficits quickly and students progress rapidly with the increasing confidence that success brings.
My specialty is foundation literacy and numeracy skills. My store is full of games that I have used and refined over the years. I know they work and I am sure your students will benefit from playing them.
