This is the entire unit over the COMMON CORE English Usage section of the State Assessments. It consists of 11 assignments that I have a suggested time allotment for each. Included are keys for each assignment with an explanation of the correct answer. At the end is a student analysis chart for each student to fill out. This will identify the strengths and weaknesses for every student so that gaps can be filled in remediation and perhaps extra help. I also use this to help group students in the class accordingly.

Practically speaking, my classes do about two assignments a week along with their work in writing and literature. We get this unit done a couple weeks before the testing window opens and follow this with reviews and reteaching weak areas in usage.
