This SUMMARY WRITING project asks students to read and compare myths/legends from very different cultures, finding both the similarities and differences (COMPARING and CONTRASTING). TEACHERS/STUDENTS CAN CHOOSE FROM: Three different products that each include two stories each. THIS PRODUCT INCLUDES: one Greek Myth, and the other a Blackfoot Myth, both 'explaining' how the “BIG DIPPER” came to be. Also included is a Japanese myth and a Native North American myth about a "Moon Rabbit“, both explaining why the moon seems to have a “Man in the moon” on it, or why it looks like a rabbit inhabits the full moon. Finally, two more traditional stories from Egypt, and Native North America, both early “Cinderella” stories, are now included!
