I have continued this theme after the success of the game addressing the confusion between 'then' and 'than'.

Most of my students have specific skill deficits and I have noticed a number of word pairs that are confused. These two - QUIET and QUITE - are often misused. The game format means students are motivated to play it over and over. There's six sentences on each board but students need to read more sentences than this in each game. Compare this to a worksheet and you will see that there is more repetition by playing a game, and it's fun to boot. It's the time-efficient way to address this type of skill deficit.

I laminate these games and have them ready for a quick activity, usually less than 5 minutes before of after an intense intervention session. It's well worth the initial investment in laminating and packaging it up for easy access. It will last for years.
