This is a partner editing checklist inspired by the C.O.P.S editing method.
C-Capitalization, O-Organization, P-Punctuation, and S-Spelling.
The students can partner with someone for this activity, and it will allow for scaffolded partner editing. One student is the "COP" and completes the checklist, while the other partner is the "writer" and presents his or her writing to be edited.
This checklist is specific to friendly letter writing and includes the checklist for all 5 parts of a friendly letter.
It also has a checklist section for students to include at least 5 sentences and to circle misspelled words.
