Corny-copia is a Thanksgiving play that celebrates the fall harvest. Autumn is the season and giving thanks is the reason! This holiday production is a delicious dialogue between the celebrants of the first Thanksgiving (Pilgrims and Native Americans) and the Corny-copia Kids (fruits and vegetables). It is designed to meet the needs of any classroom or school (PK-5). The lines are short and written in rhyme so they’re easy to learn. The play includes roles for a variety of levels and has over 30 parts from which to choose. This number can be doubled – or even tripled – if multiple pieces of each kind of fruit or vegetable are used. The cardboard cutout costumes are simple to make and easy for students to handle. Directions for staging this production are streamlined and can be adapted to fit a large or small venue. A printable invitation is included. Corny-copia is a wonderful way to show family and friends just how much we have to be thankful for!
