This unit is packed full of two weeks of lesson plans, activities, practice pages, and more to ensure your students master solving problems with money all with a fun lemonade stand theme. The unit will begin with a review of the four different coins and their value with a carousel activity. Day two will help students master counting coins less than $1.00 and day three will continue that learning for amounts larger than $1.00.
Counting practice for days two and three will incorporate fun card games as well as a mini book and practice pages. These first three lessons are packed full of activities and learning. If the concepts in these lessons are a review for your students, these lessons might be completed in three days, but if this material is new for students it might be best to spend a few more days on these lessons.
Lesson 1-4 through 2-5 will focus on word problems involving money. Students will be presented with addition problems, subtraction problems, and missing addend addition and subtraction problems. The unknown will be in both the middle and the beginning of the problem.
All of my math units are also available individually.
