This set is part of the CRAZY for LETTER GAMES BUNDLE.

Check out the PREVIEW to see all that is included. Each activity in this set is available individually. Just click on the links below.

1. PUZZLE PAIRS--PUZZLE PAIRS will help your students practice letter-sound correspondence and uppercase/lowercase letter pairing. One part of the pair of cards has an uppercase letter and half of the beginning sound picture on it. The matching card has the matching lowercase letter and the other half of the beginning sound picture.

This activity can be completed as an independent student center or a partner game.

2. BIG or LITTLE--BIG or LITTLE is a simple uppercase lowercase letter sorting activity. It will help you asses your students' ability to differentiate uppercase from lowercase letters.

3. FIND MY PAIR--FIND MY PAIR is an independent center activity that will test your students' uppercase/lowercase letter pair recognition.

BONUS: There are 9 FIND MY PAIR exit sheets included in this pack. Each target letter has beginning sound picture next to it. This will enable your students to associate each letter with its sound.

4. SPIN 'N COVER--There are 14 SPIN 'N COVER mats for practicing uppercase/lowercase letter pairing.

On the first seven SPIN 'N COVER mats students will spin an uppercase letter (there are four letters in each spinner) and mark all of its matching lowercase letters. We like to pick a colored math cube for each of the letters in the spinner, and then mark all of its matching letters with the same color. The lowercase letters are presented in a variety of fonts, similar to what they would encounter in other settings, or texts.

On the next seven SPIN 'N COVER mats, students will spin a lowercase letter and mark of its matching uppercase letters.

5. RACE to the FINISH--RACE to the FINISH is a fast-paced partner game that will improve your students' uppercase/lowercase letter pairing fluency!

Two to three students can play each RACE to the FINISH game together. There are 5 games included.

TO PLAY: The first player will roll a die and cover ONE uppercase letter that matches the lowercase letter on the game key card. They will keep rolling until they don’t have a letter to cover. If they roll a letter they have already covered, their turn is over. Play continues until one player has covered all of their letters.

If you own a set of Learning Resources’ Soft Foam Lowercase Letter Cubes students can use them, instead of the dice and key cards, to play the games. Each one of the 5 sets of game boards corresponds to a Lowercase Letter Cube!
