Create a tshirt collaborative project for Google Drive™ can be adapted for a variety of topics! Great for 1:1 classrooms OR schools that have access to Chromebooks™, laptops or other computers. This will not work with iPads.
Students design a t-shirt using the t-shirt template in Google Drawing™ and save their creation as a png image. They will upload their t-shirt to the first slide in the collaborative Google Slides™ presentation (an outdoor scene with clothes lines) and place their creation on one of the clothes lines. Students will hyperlink their t-shirt to take the viewer to an individual slide where they will insert their t-shirt image on the left and write a description on the right. Check out the animated GIF in the preview to see a completed presentation in action.

What is included?
★ Directions in Google Slides:
Step-by-step directions are included! Two YouTube video tutorials I created are embedded into the slides to go along with the directions. Launch this on your board to walk through together as a class OR distribute to your students for them to follow independently.
★ T-Shirt Design Template in Google Drawing:
Give each student their own copy of this template. They will watch the video tutorial embedded in the directions presentation that will show them how to use some of the tools to design their t-shirt. They will save their creation as a png file before importing to the collaborative Google Slides presentation.
★ T-Shirt Collaborative Presentation in Google Slides:
Share the link to the collaborative presentation (make sure share settings are set to anyone with the link can edit). Students will take turns adding their t-shirt to the outdoor scene that appears as the background on the title slide. They will link their t-shirt to their assigned slide. On this slide students will insert their t-shirt again, add a title and type a description.
★ Editable Grading Rubric in Google Slides:
A 30 point grading rubric is included. Just add your grading criteria to the 6 text boxes and print! Slide is already set to print on 8.5x11 paper.
★ Final Project example:
An example of a completed project is included for you to show your students before they begin. This appears in the directions presentation.
★ Embedding Directions:
A slide appears in the main directions presentation that tells you how you can embed the final presentation(s) to your class blog/website.
★ T-Shirt Project Links in Google Slides™:
All of the links to the items mentioned above come in one Google Slides™ presentation. This download will contain a PDF with a link that will take you to this presentation slide. When you click on each link you will be prompted to Make a Copy. Rename the file to whatever you would like. It will be sent directly to your Drive! Disperse to your students via Google Classroom™, Google Drive™ Shared folder, your Learning Platform, etc..
ALTERNATIVES to the collaboration portion of this project:
•If you have a large class size, you might consider breaking your class into groups and providing each group with their own Collaborative Google Slides presentation link. This will allow their t-shirts to be larger on the main slide. Then each group could present to the class!
•Although I created this activity for the collaboration component, you could opt for students to work on their own and create multiple t-shirts. They would need access to multiple copies of the Google Drawing template. Or, they can create each flag, save it and then redesign a new flag all within the one Google Drawing template.
