CTE & ELA – Oral Communication –"Case Studies for Class Discussion" is an excellent PowerPoint instructional tool to use when getting your students involved in a class discussion, knowing that there is more than one solution in solving a problem/conflict/issue. This PowerPoint includes 12 scenarios each of which is unique and is based on a topic to which students can easily relate. Students respond to each scenario from a particular specified viewpoint including that of a: teacher, a student, a friend, a football coach, the student body president, a communications expert/consultant, etc. By doing this, they have to think “outside the box” and come up with logical and reasonable responses to the problems presented.

As the teacher, you can implement these scenarios in a number of different ways.
