Hi, what is meant by Strategy 1 and Strategy 2?
Thank you for asking! I always teach my students more than one way to solve a problem. After a few weeks of teaching them, they are able to choose from the multiple ways (ie: draw a math picture, use a t-chart, number sentence, find a pattern, work backwards...) Due to our school's math problem solving rubric, they must show more than one way to solve a problem to receive the highest score! I hope this helps!
