Are your students needing support while blending CVC words? Letter cards with initial sound pictures will help students successfully sound out CVC words. A great way to move from picture support of the word to reading print, while still giving students the support they need. Personally, I use this after our Welcome Back, Superkids unit when students still need additional practice at CVC fluency.
I created this product for my current class, as they are having a difficult time blending and using correct vowel sounds. Wanting to help them move to reading print with visual supports, I purposely made this a relatively low-frills center.
206 CVC words from all vowel word families are included.
You may print the letters as a set A-Z, but if you want individual sets with multiple letters, there is a full page for each letter included as well. Vowels are in red.
Great for: small group, Daily 5 word work centers, intervention, tutoring.
