Many students want to overgeneralize magic e (bossy e) to all words once they learn the pattern and have a hard time reading the difference in the patterns when reading cvc and cvce words. These word drill fluency pages has students read short vowel and magic e words, distinguishing between each. These are great to use for small group or partner activities. Each page has 30 real, nonsense, or a combination of real and nonsense words per reading fluency sheet. Each fluency page has 15 word family combinations for cvc and cvce words. For example, a page would have grape and grap, whim and whime, and slim and slime.
This practice page pack includes:
-3 pages of nonsense cvc and cvce words (includes cvc and cvce words for the same words - flip the vowel type activities - for example blim and blime).
-3 pages of real cvc and cvce words
-4 pages of cvc and cvce mixed read and nonsense words
