Product Description
Directions: Students should switch out the initial sound by placing consonants onto the CVC Ladder mat. They should record the real words they make on a dry erase board or paper. If desired, you can have them make a ladder, like I did on my example. Alternatively, you can pre-draw the ladder on a white board using a Vis-a-vis marker. You may also want your students to construct each real word with magnetic letters or tiles. No worksheet or printer required! You may want to print the picture cards to help students create the initial word before you begin to play with initial sounds and change the words.
