QR Codes are a fun and engaging tool to use in the classroom. My own class of Kinders LOVE using them!
QR stands for “quick response”. They are similar to a barcode but can store much more information. You access the information, or in this case, letter of the alphabet, by scanning the QR code using an iPod, iPad, smart phone or tablet.
Search the app store for any free QR code reader, my favorite is QR Code Reader by Scan.
Simply print and laminate the cards and you are ready to roll.
My CVC QR codes can be used in a variety of ways. CVC stands for consonant-vowel-consonant ie; red, bed, hat, mat, mug, hop, etc. I’ve included 3 different recording sheets for students to record their spelling. They can be used in a center or posted around the room for a CVC scavenger hunt.
