Are you looking for a quick, easy way to assess your students’ reading progress?
I Heart Data assessments are a fantastic way to monitor student progress throughout the year. The assessments are short and easy to administer, making them a practical way to track data. You can use these assessments as a supplement to any reading curriculum.
These assessments can be used by classroom teachers, special education teachers, paraeducators, homeschoolers, tutors, and more. These assessments are particularly helpful for writing and tracking IEP goals, and presenting the data at IEP meetings.
This CVC assessment is aligned to CCSS RF.K.2b, RF.K.3, RF.1.3 and RF.1.3b, but it can be used for students in any grade that struggle with decoding. Each assessment contains 20 randomly chosen words from a list of over 100 words. To help you pinpoint exactly where your students are having difficulty, the list of 20 words includes 4 words each of short a, short e, short i, short o, and short u.
Digraphs (th, ch, sh, ph, qu, and wh) are not included in this assessment, and ck is not used as an ending.
