Three sets of word cards with 40 C-V-C words each.
All the cards have consonants in blue, vowels in red, and a picture of the word.
Students who have difficulting blending sounds can use set one and its “stops and slides”—young readers can use the small stop symbols like Elkonin boxes and tap a finger under each letter as the sounds are said before starting at the beginning of the slide and saying the entire word.
Set two features the words with pictures for use on word walls, in sorting activities, or as flash cards.
Set three has the word on one side and the matching picture on the back and can be used for independent practice. The open font is also sized for finger tracing.
The word and pictures in this file match those in the C-V-C BUILD-a-WORD PUZZLES file. If you are interested in purchasing both resources, they are available together in a bundle at a reduced price.
