These two fun CVC 'silly sentence' reading games are suitable for children who need practise with reading CVC words in sentences. They are also suitable for ESL children and older children with special needs who are at the beginning stages of literacy.
There are 28 reading cards which can be used for two different games.
Put the cards face down on the table. Turn over a card. If the answer is yes, keep the card. If the answer is no, put the card back. If you turn over a 'pop' card, put all of your cards back. The winner is the first one to collect four cards.
Put the cards face down in a pile. Turn over the top card. If the answer is yes, move your counter one space up the track. If the answer is no, stay where you are. The winner is the first one to get to the end of the track.
