Description
Do your students still struggle to read CVC words fluently? These CVC Sound and Word Fluency Cards are a fun and effective way to have students practice their letter sounds by blending the sounds together and reading words more fluently. These cards allow students to use their phonics knowledge to build words systematically and explicitly.
Students will begin by making the consonant sound on the card. Then, they will practice the vowel sounds. The students will continue blending these sounds together to make both real and nonsense CVC words.
These cards are aligned with Science of Reading and Orton-Gillingham instructional techniques.
CVC Sound and Word Fluency Includes:
- 36 sound and word fluency cards.
- Each card includes a beginning consonant sound and 2-3 vowel sounds along with CVC words to read.

These Sounds Cards are perfect for small group lessons. Print and laminate the cards to use as a quick warm-up or review. These are also great for independent fluency folders, to use as practice at home, or to use during partner reading practice.
