This is an excellent way to help beginning readers practice CVC words. The PowerPoint is set up so that each letter falls into place (upon each click) - allowing the students to say each letter sound as it falls, and finally saying the complete word. Once the CVC word is displayed, the next click brings up a picture representing the word just read.
Each consonant is blue and the vowel is in red to help visual learners reinforce the CVC pattern. It's a great way to check for understanding and can be used for whole group instruction, small group instruction, one-on-one instruction, and even as an assessment!
This file also includes a PDF version of the PowerPoint Show, which allows you to print or present the slides in your own way. Print multiple slides on one page to make flashcards, a memory game, a word family book, etc. There are many ways to use this product in your classroom!
