This game was created using the Kindergarten Orton Gillingham scope and sequence. This game includes words that can be created after /s/ is introduced. I have also included beginning sight words (the, is, a, see, my). Decodable CVC words are in green and sight words are red. In order to get their "X" or "O" students must correctly read the word.
In my classroom I cut each game board apart and laminated them. Then let the students use dry erase or wet erase markers to mark the words. This could be something an adult plays with a student, students play with a peer partner, or could also be taken home for extra practice.
