Make learning and practicing CVC words fun!

This engaging independent literacy/word work center is designed to help your students practice building CVC words with magnetic letters or writing with dry-erase markers.

Materials are organized according to word family, with some mixed practice mats as well. Self-check cards are included so that your students can assess their own work. The optional recording sheet can be used if you would like students to write the words that they made.

These mats are all in full color but copy well in black and white using the “greyscale” option on your print menu. Black and white versions can be used with magnets, letter stamps, or letters cut from magazines.

The word families currently included are:

at, ad, ag, am, an, ap, mixed short a

ed, en, eg, et, mixed short e

ig, in, ip, it, ix, mixed short i

ob, og, op, ot, od, ox, mixed short o

ug, un, ub, ut, ud, up, mixed short u

Please check out the preview to see all that is included in this pack (short U not shown in preview but is included).
