CVC Words: this postal themed interactive booklet involves identifying and writing CVC medial vowel sounds on envelopes and then *posting* them into the correct CVC middle sounds mailbox pockets.
This interactive resource has been carefully designed to ensure it can be easily assembled by little fingers. Please review the photo instructions in the preview file.
Both color and black and white pages are included.
1 x booklet assembly instructions for teachers (see preview)
1 x booklet in both color and black and white.
2 x differentiated sets of envelopes/letters (please see differentiation notes below for details). Examples of each set can be seen in the preview file. There is a total of 20 letters in each set (4 for each of the middle vowel sounds). You can easily differentiate this resource by varying the amount of letters distributed to each of your students. Letters feature an envelope graphic on one side and a CVC graphic/beginning and ending letter sounds on the other.
Layout and Assembly
The booklet consists of 4 A4 pages. Each page features two CVC medial vowel sounds and there is also one letter sorting pocket page. I have arranged the pages within this resource to form a double-sided booklet (therefore the completed booklet is 2 A4 double sided pages). Please refer to the preview file for detailed assembly instructions.
There are 2 versions of letters/envelopes to choose from.
VERSION 1 LETTERS/ENVELOPES
These envelopes depict the first and last letters of each illustrated CVC word making it easier for children to isolate and identify the missing middle sounds.
VERSION 2 LETTERS/ENVELOPES
These envelopes do not depict the first and last letter sounds. It is therefore more challenging for children to identify the missing middle sounds.
Children can open up their envelopes and illustrate/write the CVC word on the letter.
