CVC word find and build

This is a fun interactive way to get kids engaged when sounding out simple CVC words. This activity supports all learning styles. Also a great way to implement RTI. It is a great phonemic awareness activity and promotes creativity and independence for learners as well.

3 ways to play: Laminate the cards and have the child color the letters that make up the word that matches the picture shown on the card. Ex. Cat for the picture of a cat. Then have the child write the word under the picture on the card.

*Another option: Have the child use a hole punch to “punch” out the letters that make up the word of the picture on the card. The child can then use a pencil, marker or other writing tool to write the word in the box.
