Word family study is an essential part of reading instruction. They represent patterns in our language. By mastering these single-syllable words, students become more comfortable with rhyming and eventually learn to decode longer, more complex words. this will help your students become better readers. These CVCe Word Family packets include nearly 12 weeks of activities for CVCe Long ‘a, i, o and u' families. (Each vowel pack is represented by a different color for easy reference.) For each word family, there is a week’s worth of activities included to introduce, familiarize and provide word family word work practice for your students.
