CVI Series Shapes Interactive Books BUNDLE | BOOM Cards

These high-contrast, shape-themed BOOM cards are designed for students with Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI) or other visual impairments and other visual impairments. Research shows that students with CVI respond well to high contrast, minimal visual distractions, movement, and bright colors. In addition, many other students respond well to simple pages with minimal visual distractions.

Adapted Books:

Version 1: This version utilizes bright-colored clipart images, real images, and GIFs on a black background. With the exception of the title page, this digital book DOES NOT HAVE words. For students on the lower range of the CVI assessment, words or multiple images on a page can be visually overwhelming. For this reason, the majority of this digital book contains only images on the pages. This book is perfect for students completing the activity with an adult.

Version 2: This version utilizes bright-colored clipart images, real images, and GIFs on a black background. The images in version 2 are the same as version 1. This version includes 1-2 short sentences per page. This version is beneficial for students who aren't distracted/visually overwhelmed by text on the page.

Students can practice scanning the page to identify the target (shape) on each page.

Some of the pages include GIFs (animated images) which are beneficial for students who require some movement within activities.
