Students will learn how to calculate their salary for a day, and then for a week, by multiplying the number of hours worked by the hourly pay amount, using a calculator. Students will learn to total the hours worked for a week and then multiply them by their hourly pay amount to calculate the week's pay. Student will also calculate elapsed time to the hour and half hour in a few of the final worksheets. Included as well are worksheets that allow you to make your own extra practice sheets or to create worksheets on a simpler or more difficult level. The final printable contains a simple reading comprehension teaching students that money is taken out of their paycheck for taxes, benefits, etc.
I teach older teens and young adults with disabilities. I create my own materials because I find it difficult to find age appropriate materials for students who read and comprehend at a low level.
