SLOPE INTERACTIVE FOLDABLE
This includes a foldable on the types of slope (positive, negative, zero, and undefined), as well as examples of all four types.
The teacher will guide students in filling out the foldable, and instructing students how to categorize a graph, table, or equation into one of the four types of slope.
The foldable includes four graphs, four tables, and four equations. The students should cut these out, categorize them in one of the four types of slope, and glue them in their foldable.
SUGGESTION: Depending on the time available and the level of the class, the teacher can instruct students to actually calculate the slope of the examples instead of simply categorizing as one of the four types.
This file includes TWO mazes. The first one is for students to calculate the slope given two points. The second one is for students to find the slope given a graph.
I used both of these in the same class period to review before a quiz. However, these can be used separately to review each skill individually.
I printed them out on a smaller scale, and I instructed my students to glue them in their INBs. I do this with most of my activities and handouts to reduce loss of papers.
This includes a 12-question quiz on calculating slope, determining the type of slope, and interpreting the rate of change.
