Your students may not realize they're practicing valuable calculator and math computation skills as they enjoy this Power Point presentation!
Supply students with the calculator that they will use on their end-of-year standardized test. All of these riddles were tested on the TI-15 calculator.
Present one slide at a time, read the riddle, then give students an appropriate amount of time to input the equation. Press “Enter =“ for the answer, flip the calculator upside down, and read the word created by the numbers. You’ll all groan and laugh!
Want to use this product in a center or station? Print off the slides (they're in PPT), laminate or put in plastic sleeves. Bingo! You have a fun center for students to use!
There are five riddles each for addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rounding, and exponents. You may go straight through or pick and choose the skills your students need to practice. Answers are at the end.
Use the whole presentation in one or two lessons, or space it out further, accessing skills as needed.
