Need a fun way to hone calculator skills? Need a center activity for your classroom or library? These four ready-to-print calculator riddle cards will give your students a fun way to practice their math and literacy skills, with a little eye-hand coordination practice along the way, too! Students use a calculator to perform the operations in the order given, then turn the calculator upside down to read the answer to the riddle.
These can be used in a math center, or put them in a basket with a few inexpensive calculators to be available in a classroom, gifted classroom, or school library as a quick, pick-up activity when only a few minutes are available.
Listen for the giggles as they get the jokes, and watch them swap cards and try another riddle, as they make the answers "come out right" and master their calculator skills. These cards incorporate problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and using numbers with 1-5 digits. Want more riddles? Check out “More Calculator Riddles!”
