Applications to Integration Editable Unit Test and Review with Full Typed Solutions
. This is appropriate for AP Calculus BC or College Calculus 2
This test and review cover the Unit Applications to Integration. These applications use integration methods studied before the Techniques of Integration Unit. Topics include:
☑ Area between curves vertical
☑ Area between curves horizontal
☑ Volume by disk
☑ Volume by washer
☑ Volume by shell
☑ Arc Length
☑ Area of Surface of Revolution
☑ Center of Mass for a Planar Lamina
☑ Work for a spring
Note: If you don't cover all these topics you can edit some questions out or replace them. The test (which can also be used as a review) is editable in MS Word (2003 and higher) and has 10 questions. Some of the problems are set up only and bonus points if solved by hand. But, of course you can change this and assign your own points. The test takes about one class period which for my classes is 55 minutes.
To edit some of the questions you will need an equation editor such as Design Science Math Type®.
The editable Unit Review has 13 questions and also should take about one class period, though many of my students take what's not finished home. I usually have my students work in groups for this review.
