This product is designed for AP Calculus AB, BC or College Calculus 2. The topic, Area of the Surface of Revolutions, is usually found in the unit on Applications of Integration. Problems that "work out" without having to resort to a CAS or numerical integration on a graphing calculator are often difficult to come by. This set of problems includes 6 integration problems which can be done by hand (though some use strong algebraic skills). They do not use Trig Sub or any methods from the Techniques of Integration Unit.
✓ 10 task cards plus one blank for you to personalize if you choose. #1 - 3 are set-up only, #4 - 9 are revolved about the x-axis and #10 is about the y-axis
✓ Master List of questions which can be used for an alternate class or for an absentee.
✓ Quiz or HW assignment
✓ Answer keys
✓ One typed organized step by step solution which can be used as a study guide for students.
✓ Student response sheet with room for work and unnumbered so you can choose the cards you want.
✓ Graphic Formula organizer in the form of Avery 5160 Address labels (30 to a sheet) with the formulas printed on them. My students love when I give them these formula labels. So cool to print on neon labels if you can get them, but white is fine. Great addition to students’ notebooks. I have also been known to “sell” the labels for a quiz. If it appears someone or a few have not learned the formulas and are stuck, I will sell them the labels for some points. This way they do the problems, but have learned next time to learn the formulas. All done with humor. BTW, the price goes up as time left goes down.
